I’m not sure if it’s just me. But since the embargo lifted a few days ago, I’ve been consuming T.50 content like a good car person. And that means I’ve been fed more and more Murray content.

Youtubes on the T.50, interviews with Murray, podcasts, more information about the LLC rocket than I ever knew I needed. Old articles and interviews on the T.50 and the T.43 and other projects by Gordon Murray Automotive. The man’s opinions on everything from the Testarossa to the P1 to the new Alpine to the Elan to the EB110.

One day we’ll all look back on how cool it was when the T.50 was announced.

Kinja'd!!!

This is the most searching Murray has had in a decade. But graphing it over that long makes it much harder to see the uptick recently.

What were his thoughts on the new Alpine?

From what I heard with Chris Harris, he drives one and likes everything except the numb steering.

What BeaterGT said. Also he wishes it came with a manual. But you get that these days don’t you

Is the T.43 actually still happening?

I think not. I don’t think pics have ever been shown. It seems like, for all Murray’s work, virtually nothing has actually hit market from it since...the F1. I don’t know how he stays afloat haha! And it’s a shame, that smaller cheaper sports car sounds like a winner. A big high-revving V12 is cool, but it’s at the absolute top end of the market. Most of us can’t even dream of enjoying that.

Did you listen to the podcast with Harris? He very nearly had a project with BMW after the F1, but Dennis screwed it up at the last moment , and then he worked on the SLR McLaren, and the Rocket after that. Sound like he’s got iStream deals working, hopefully some will turn into something.

I did listen to that. I guess he has done some stuff, but it seems like he’s been talking about iStream for years. Ironic that it’s intended to simplify and cheapen the process of bringing a car from design to production, but is yet to do so
